Sad day. Summer is officially over.

It won't be long before we're bundling, shoveling, and (if you're clumsey like me) slipping.

Thankfully, the Enchanted Mountains transition into winter can be breathtakingly beautiful, making it much easier to swallow.

Harvest Heritage Fall Festival - Gowanda

This quaint, family-friendly festival kicks off the run of fall festivals in the charming village of Gowanda. This festival features a scarecrow contest, pumpkin painting + sidewalk chalk art for kids, fall wreath making, concert, demonstrations, softball game, drawings, mums for sale, and more! Seneca Little Girl

Experience Seneca Culture and Heritage and enjoy the beautiful fall foliage.  Started in 1979 as a way to promote the culture of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the relationship between the nation and the City of Salamanca, this celebration will have a cultural aspect with demonstrations of Seneca arts. Pfeiffer Nature Center Fall Festival - Portville

Delight in an afternoon of nature with your children or grandchildren at the Lillibridge preserve while engaging in many fun fall activities.  Enjoy cider and doughnuts, “train” rides, pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, and trick or treating along the interpretive trail.  Costumes are encouraged to add to the fun!  This event is FREE and preregistration is required.  Visit www.pfeiffernaturecenter.org for details!

Fall Festival - Ellicottville

Tens of thousands of festival goers make for a lively weekend of unique foods, fine art, and an arts and crafts show, carnival rides, live entertainment and much more. Fall Festival is a fun, family-friendly way to kick off the autumnal fun in Ellicottville.

Rock City Park Gem, Mineral + Fossil Show - Olean

Rock enthusiasts will have the chance to view, purchase and learn about rare and common rocks from around the world. Items for sale may include rocks, minerals, fossils, shells, jewelry, cut and uncut stones, mining paraphernalia and tools, crafts/artwork, books, and magazines all related to our natural earth!  Also on hand are chicken and rib dinners, honey and apple vendors, cider and others!
